This is Grant from 45 days ago writing to you. Right now we are talking about soup and bread bowls. 45 days ago I was so excited I started this list.  I was so happy just to have an excuse to talk to you every day. Thank you for encouraging me and laughing with me at these jokes. Thank you for inviting me into your home. Thank you!

What is a part of yourself that you hide from the rest of the world because you fear it makes you too vulnerable? 

I hide a lot of my insecurities behind humor. I'm a perfectionist and I overthink. Ultimately I want to give you what you deserve, the best version of myself, but I'm afraid I won't be enough. Or I won't be able to live up to my own expectations.

I close my eyes every night and I dream that I can hold you. Not anything to do with DARE and the rest of the song has little to do with tenderness but it is a beautiful song and a beautiful lyric for a beautiful girl.

Fun Fact-  My days have been melding into each other and I forgot what day I was on. 

I did not send you any message today to show you my excitement. Don’t worry. I still am. I simply cannot think of any fun fact to send. I also mixed up my days and today is supposed to be a message of excitement and yesterday was supposed to be a fun fact.

Halfway point. So much excitement and fear. But that’s not a bad thing.

Today is the halfway point since I started this project. Sometimes it is stressful to come up with ideas for things to send you to express my excitement. But it has never been too much. Sometimes my imagination goes too much but this has been a pleasure since I started. 22 days ago it was a daunting task when I started. 22 days later it has been a source of excitement and an outlet for my creativity. I think I will be slightly sad when these 45 days are over and this list is complete. But I will be very happy when it is over because it means I will be there.

What is something about relationships that you think people underestimate?

Big gestures are important but the small ones may be more important. In the languages of love I would tend to think of those as the acts of service but I think all of them are applicable.  I think when you truly know someone it will be even more subtle. Noticing things and acting without being told.

Photo Album

I found my photo album and shared a lot of photos with you today. It's kinda weird to look back at those pictures. In my head my appearance hasn't changed. When I saw those pictures, especially the ones I hadn't seen in probably 10 years, I thought it was a completely different person. And I think that's true. I certainly hope its true.
